Chapter Fellow
Physicians who are Fellows in good standing in the American Academy of Pediatrics are automatically eligible for membership in the state chapter. Non members must be pediatricians who are certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, the Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics, or La Corporation Professionelle des Medecins du Quebec, who have a minimum of five years of specialized study and/or practice in pediatrics, who provide evidence of high ethical and professional standing and clinical experience, and who are participating actively in pediatrics and who practice and/or live in PA.

Specialty Fellow
All Specialty Fellows in good standing in the American Academy of Pediatrics are automatically eligible for membership in the state chapter. Non members must be physicians certified by boards other than those listed above who devote the majority of their professional activity to infants, children and adolescents, who provide evidence of high ethical and professional standing and specialty experience.

Emeritus Fellow
Members in good standing with the American Academy of Pediatrics who have reached the age of 70 years and are retired or request emeritus status because of health issues or other circumstances are automatically eligible for membership in the state chapter.

Post Residency Training Member
All Post Residency Training Members in good standing in the American Academy of Pediatrics are automatically eligible for membership in the state chapter. Non members must have completed an approved pediatric residency and be currently enrolled in a pediatric fellowship training program; or be currently enrolled and have completed at least 2 years of training in an approved Alternative Pathway residency program; or have completed a medical or surgical residency, and be currently enrolled in a pediatric fellowship training program leading to proficiency and/or certification in a pediatric surgical or pediatric-oriented subspecialty.

Candidate Member
All Candidate Members in good standing in the American Academy of Pediatrics are automatically eligible for membership in the state chapter. Non members must be physicians who have graduated from an approved medical school and who have completed PL1, PL2 and PL3 years of pediatric specialty training.

Resident
All pediatric residents who work in the state of Pennsylvania are automatically enrolled as members of the Chapter. Non members must be Physicians who have graduated from an approved MD or DO medical school who are enrolled in a pediatric specialty training program as PL1, PL2 or PL3 residents.

Medical Student
Members of the AAP Medical Student Section should be medical students enrolled in a Pennsylvania School of Medicine are automatically eligible for membership in the state chapter. Membership terminates upon graduation. Those accepted into a Pennsylvania pediatric residency program are automatically enrolled as Resident members of the Chapter.
