Pennsylvania's General Assembly meets in two- year sessions. A new two-year session began in January, 2009.

Review bills below that have been introduced that relate to child health and safety and medical practice.

 

House Bill 47: Providing for education for parents relating to sudden infant death syndrome and sudden unexpected death of infants; establishing the Sudden Infant Death Syndrome Education and Prevention Program; and providing for duties of the Department of Health.

  • Exercise your right as a citizen to tell your legislator your comments on bills that have been introduced.
  • If you have not met with your state senator or representative, make an appointment to discuss your interest in pediatric issues. Local legislators need credible sources of information in their community.
